Caught in the act of going topless.

I only photographed it because I haven’t seen one in this orange color yet.

I think what you meant to say is "the road is too narrow for two cars to pass one another in opposite directions while also leaving room for a cyclist who has a full legal right to be on said road."

I get it -- everybody is in a hurry, and heaven forbid a piece of farm equipment or a pedestrian or one of those GD bikers slows them down. I also get that there are more cars than ever on the roads and the risk to cyclists goes up by some multiple greater than 1 for every single one of them. Even where we live, with plenty of small rural roads to choose from, it's become much more dangerous. All true, sadly. Just don't tell me a cyclist is not allowed on a road.

Rant off. Back to car porn. Lotus Ford twincam engine, one of the most raced engines ever. The block itself is used on even more variants.

I got my Dad's '67 when I was in High school in the late 70's. Judging by the fender and rear reflectors, I'd guess that is about a '70 model.

Dumb me, I know what they are my buddy owned one for 20 plus years. I glanced at it and mistakenly thought it was a Volkswagen Thing. Hence the pun in my question.

It’s not often I get warm all over about a Jeep but this one had it going on.

    Evening all:

You had to post a picture of that Jeep Commando, now I'll have nightmares for a while! :D
My buddies dad had one that we went hunting with, let's just say that 3 people in the back seat in winter hunting clothing along with our gear was a tight fit! One good thing though, while going hunting on the first day of buck it was snowing and there was a line of vehicles stuck on the mountain, he put it in 4WD and we went around them like we were on dry road, right there I figured I need something with 4WD!

Nice looking CJ 3 Flat fender , is it an A or B model , what year and does it have the Go Devil 134 4cyl or a Buick v6 or swapped in sbc

    The CJ3A was built from 1948 -1953 and the B model 1953-68

I had a 1968 CJ3B flat fender that I built for rock crawling . I sold it 20 years ago and it had Dana 44's with Detroit lockers and 5.38's . It also had 35's and 3" lift and a 400sbc and auto transmission

Here's a pic on a trail out near Panamint Valley

    This is a '51 3a... It has a Buick 225.
I'm deciding what way to go with it. Im thinking Dana 44's with 33" or 35" and 4.11's. Needs to drive on the hwy and be good on trails with a little bit of crawling. Just a good all around toy.

With 5.38's and running 33" tires that's only 3200 rpm . When I lived in San Diego's East County I used to drive the Jeep from Santee to Anza Borrego state park with no issues

Those 225 odd fire engines were very reliable and made good hp when built correctly . My 68 M38A1 Jeep had a 225 odd fire, offenhauser 4bbl intake , holley 650 carb , a nice Hydraulic flat tappet cam and headers

    The Hydraulic cam was a comp cams .218 @ .050 110 lsa 1800 - 5800 rpm and had a wicked idle
