The snap on ring holding the A/C clutch on was snapped in half. Replaced it and the wobble and sputtering noise went away.

Need some advice on my AC compressor. It's making a sputtering noise and the clutch wobbles. Is it best to replace the whole AC compressor or should I just replace the clutch? It still works and blows cold air

Remove the drive belt, reach down and grab n shake. There is a bearing near the clutch. Spin the pulley and listen for noise. Feel while spinning for smooth operation. Good luck
