Can you tell me if the fbc harness is waterproof? I live in Ny and winters tend to corrode things

I can answer this question... yes, the connectors are OEM quality and water proof.

I live in Vancouver , B.C. where we get lots of days of rain. I have had zero issue with my harness from FBC. I was so happy I purchase other products. There all of OEM quality. I have no concerns of corrosion.

ahhh, now I know what 'fbc harness' is referring to.

Maybe a good answer is that your stuff is at least as weather resistant as the wiring that is already present on the truck.

Great stuff, I wish I had known about it a couple of years ago when I made my own T's to tap the brake light and bed lights for my Alu-Cab.

OP, the integrated OEM connection seems to be as good as OEM in sealing.

The ‘raw / bare’ pig tail connections on some harnesses are left to the customer.

I run multiple harness from them in two trucks for a while now. Have had no issues.

further precautions can be added to assist. Heat shrink layers, weather sealing, tape, electric grease etc, can also add wiring to place vulnerable connections to a more weather secure location.

as far as IP or NEMA rated variables I don’t know, but ideas can be implemented to help in longevity.

drive in snow or rain and get under the truck after to find those areas and or weather wrap if desired.

If anyone ever drives their truck into a lake and has one of our harnesses, please try to stay calm and count how many meters deep you are before the headlights/brake lights fail. Thank you.
