    Hey everyone,

I’m trying to figure out how to responsibly dispose of my used brake fluid- anyone know what to do? I’m in Portland.

I gave it a google and even asked at oreilleys and autozone, they weren’t helpful.

After flushing the brake fluid, PS fluid and antifreeze on various vehicles over the years I've always taken it to the disposal/recycle center in Oregon City. They take most hazardous chemicals, paints and the like. No charge. There's probably one close to you too.

Metro recycle/dump site out on Hwy 30 also takes these chemicals.

Thank you both! I’ll check those both out.

In the shop we were allowed to mix gear oil, engine oil, brake fluid and trans fluid in the oil recycle bin. Only thing that was not allowed in was antifreeze
