What pressure is everyone running their 265/75/16 SL? (Wildpeaks) I just had them installed and they set them to 40psi and it felt really good on the way home. But I thought it was a little high? I am coming from heavy 265/75/16 (E) S/T Maxx at 32psi.

Great pictures thanks for sharing. I had the same Konig Countersteer wheels in my shed last year. Then Toyota cancelled the premium trims and I had to return them. Just ordered Five Stars from Tacoma Town last week. Truck is supposed to be at the dealership next week. fingers crossed! I really think these wheels are underrated, some of the best looking in the industry. Hi to Dustin from Jim in Bonnyville Alberta.

Anyone have regret not doing 265/70/17 or 285’s with a spacer lift? I just got my 265/75’s and a set of wheels and haven’t even put them on yet and am having second thoughts. Side track but figure what better place to ask than here.

Wore my 265 75 16 Toyo AT3’s down after three years, and running around the woods in Montana this summer was making me nervous with 4/32nds of tread-life left.
I decided to take a chance on some KO2’s, 265 75 16 and read almost every thread about them…the good, great, bad, and ugly. Ordered them up from Costco and they did a great job on the install.
I was nervous about committing to an E load tire for the Tacoma but with where we go and what we do it was the right choice.
I was so relieved when I pulled out of the lot and my ride literally felt the same as with my Toyos. I simply don't find them overly harsh or stiff at all and my power and breaking have barely been changed to any noticeable level.
Jury is still out on mpg but with the Toyos I was at about 18-19 on the highway and a little lower in town.
With how badass these look, I’m not going to sweat it!

Guess I was wrong. I did not do 265/75R16s…decided to go with 17s and try 255/75R17s instead (no lift).

    Update:
Just rolled 403 miles from Missoula to our cabin in Roslyn, WA. Drove between 65 and 80mph the whole way and averaged 18.6mpg on the 265 75 16 KO2’s
Road noise was no more than what we typically would have had with the SL Toyos and overall the ride was very smooth.
The only section of road where I could feel that we had more tire weight was the end of the long climb up out of Vantage on I90. Towards the top there were two short sections where I did a small amount of gear hunting but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Cruised that section between 75 and 80mph.
I’ve still got to play with PSI a bit. Started the morning 53 degrees in Missoula at 38psi and ended the day hitting Roslyn at 90 degrees outside and 43psi.
I definitely think the tires feel great on the highway around 40/41PSI. I’ll be adjusting down to 36PSI cold and going from there.
The ultimate test was asking my wife what she thought of the ride and she said, “Feels the same to me.” So that’s a good thing!
So far I’m digging them and they feel pretty great.
The biggest surprise was that I really only lost about 1mpg going to the E load 265 75 16. I thought I’d take a bigger hit than that.

@Discount Tire - huge props to your shop in Yakima, Wa. I had a question about my tires and called them while traveling through town. Spoke with a person named Christian there and he was beyond helpful. Even offered to take a look at one of my tires at no charge even though I didn’t purchase them from a Discount Tire due to not having one in my hometown of Missoula.
I ended up not needing to stop by but wow….talk about customer service. I may end up driving to a town with a Discount Tire the next time I need new tires just so I can have that level of knowledge, selection and customer service.
    Nicely done!

@MissoulaGriz thank you for your kind words. If you don't mind. I would like to pass along your praise to the store and specifically Christian. I myself just returned to Arizona from a road trip that landed me in Missoula for 4 days. What a beautiful area. We have a store in Kalispell which is not to far away. We would love to earn your business. By the way, the taco looks fantastic!
