Aside from asking the seller is there website where you can plug in a vin # to see if and when a frame was replaced on a 1st or 2nd gen?

    none yet
I've gotten good history here https://vincheck.info/check/vin-check.php

the frame behind the back wheels doesn't look to bad (compared to a NY truck someone was looking at a few days ago) but the bed bolts look rough to me

Normal for bed bolts to look like that mine were rusted like that and I’m in SoCal Toyota upgraded them a few years ago to ones that don’t rust like that if you search there’s a part number (I bought them and replaced mine)

I don’t know if they took your pint or stickers off (if it was replaced) but my replacement frame had a sticker with my last name near the back drivers tire, with the numbers
And paint marker writing of my last name around there as well. (They had a few trucks at the same time as my truck getting new frames years ago.

On an '09, if you can inspect the truck onsite, check the spare tire hoist. Factory hoist used a steel cable. Hoist on replacement frames used a chain, with excess chain dangling through the wheel's center hole.

Toyota switched from cable to chain in 2011 in production, if I remember correctly.
