    whats the trail like to the lake challenging? I'm not as experienced to running mid to high challenging trails. But if its not to bad I'd might make it for a night as i would have to leave on saturday since i work sundays

    I don’t consider it to be super challenging but it is definitely more than just a forest service road. Armor isn’t a requirement but nice for piece of mind.

    In the past the trail could easily be done in a stockish truck. The road has a couple little washout sections that have gotten worse over the past couple years but if you go slow they are easily passable. It’s a fun trip and would def suggest doing it. The only caution I would say is this early in the year I would bring lots of bug spray.

    if I committed to this weekend starting the Oregon bdr trip from hood river and heading south would anyone want to joint for a Sat/Sun trip where the group could then split with people heading home and others continuing south? Then moving this trip back a month or so?
