    Evening all:

    Sue!

Sounds like you aren't too satisfied with the job Sue ! It's a gamble getting stuff done right, there are still proficient people out there and there are plenty of hacks out there also, can only :fingerscrossed: that the latter isn't the one doing the work, nothing new there! :(

Evening Carl. Nothing some mortar, a drill bit, and silicone sealant can't fix

Checkup couple weeks ago. Doc was concerned, I lost some weight, and bp was up. Long story short, bought some non-iodized salt by mistake. Not good! Thyroid needs iodine, the only non-food substance we need to survive. Switched back to iodized, it's fixing the issue. Doc checked my thyroid with a blood test. It's ok. Lesson learned, and no more comments from you know who about too much salt.

    Good Morning.

I opened an interesting email from the VA this morning. If you qualify for the PACT Act and file a claim before August 9th you may be eligible for a year of back claims. The operative phrase is "May Be". I filed back at the end of April so we shall see. I do have two medical appointments associated with my claim next Tuesday.

Today is another PT session for my back then grocery shopping.

I need to take another look at the PACT stuff. Sleep Apnea is already part of my permanent rating and it appears to me my only possible associated condition. My gut feeling was filing under PACT would be a waste of time and federal resources. :notsure:

Have a great, safe, and most importantly, happy day! :)

    RESPECT :oldglory:

Good morning all ! Stay safe.

Sue it's often the case when you have to fix something on a house. You find stuff that makes one shake their head. Seems like it doesn't matter new or older construction.

LOL... ain't that the truth. Take out a screw and pretty soon you've found out that to "do the job right" you have to pour a new foundation.

:angrygirl: Can't like that Sue. :annoyed:. Finding reliable good contractors is a fete all in itself . I hope you can get it resolved without too much issue.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Mowing Porch Pals and Sue! That's right - soon as it gets warm enough....

Engine day at the hangar, with thank you BBQ lunch from our head of maintenance, and one of the pilots. Good day. Progress is slow on that old beast - it's been together a loooooooooooooooooooooong time, and its junkyard history is obvious in every nut and bolt. Hard to show progress shots. But, here is a pile of the spark plug wire I did get off yesterday (about half).

At the Grand Opening party we went to Saturday, the wife kept referring to my volunteering at the CAF to others as "Adult Day Care". Well, damn if I didn't notice this sign over the break room door for the first time yesterday!

    Everyone have a great day!

Record heat and home prices for the hood!

    https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2904-Juneau-Dr-Cedar-Park-TX-78613/96632764_zpid/

Lots of rain in May when the photos were taken, so everything looked so green.

Listed at $1.900 Million, it went for 10% over. Six days on the market. Wow.
2020 it was listed at 1.2 Million, Covid no one buying.
    2012 was around $750K

I have to admit it's a lovely house, nice build. Just WOW on the prices.

I cannot give details, because it was shared in a VA group, but there seems to be problems lately in the claims processing. Be sure to ...
    Not give up
    Keep providing information
    Be prompt at all appointments
And, remember you are the one responsible for the VA getting all pertinent information.

It is wrong, but the burden of proof is, initially, up to the veteran. I have heard reports that it switches to the VA, burden of proof against, if it goes to court.

    Afternoon all:

:annoyed:! My hunting buddy called me about an e mail from the PA game commission about not getting something with his new hunting license, turns out it was an ear tag for the doe lic. that is supposed to be issued along with it. I checked my lic. and sure enough I didn't have one either. Called the game commission and was # 5 in line, finally got ahold of someone and got transferred to a different division and was #9 in line, and after about 30 min. total on hold, I got to talk to someone! :annoyed::annoyed:Seems like in the first hour of sales they had a "glitch" in the system that didn't include the ear tags for the doe lic. with the printout, the lady I talked to said they knew about it and will be sending out new lic's. that include the ear tags to those affected.
