I bought the Rough Country 50” Light Dual Row Black Series Light Bar. I didn’t like the idea of drilling, so I reached out to RC and they don’t make brackets for that light bar.

Can anyone speak to their experience drilling into this roof? Even better if it was this light bar.

The wiring is in a big ruggedized coil that looks good, would it be recommended just running this down the edge of the windshield?

Or should I just buy a bracket and avoid drilling altogether?

if anyone has this light any bracket recommendations?

I do not want a roof rack and my dogs very much enjoy the sun roof.

TIA for anyone’s time. Much appreciated

Here’s a video of the wiring without drilling. For the bracket, this video show the mounting location as well. Even though the video show a 4runner, maybe the mounting location is same for the Tacoma?

You said your wire is big, only you can determine that because I don’t know what your wiring is like. I help a friend install one on his F150 about 2-3 years ago. We have to drill a hole for the wiring and run it down the pillar because the wiring is thick. We used rubber grommet and marine grade silicone to seal the wire and grommet. To this day there’s no leak. I personally hate drilling into the roof. But at that time we don’t have a choice for his f150.

GG lighting and MCM fab make brackets. Is the “coil” the wire loom?
