You can submit sightings of bees. You got a really good camera and the data is very valuable. Bumble bees are winking out. We're both birders, and it is very similar. I got into it out of necessity for work since one got protected in my area, but it is kind of like birding, so fun too.

 

@cooldood looks like you have a state atlas too. You can sign up and then go net, chill, take data, and release them too. I'm doing it for my state atlas.

Fun fact, from 18-21 I worked at a large scale reptile breeder. I once got wrapped by an african rock python about 15' long and had to be rescued before it freed its large head out of my hands (yelled for help -was new -learned the two-man rule of working with snakes that size and got a stern warning), got bit a hundred times or so by various species of snakes including some decent size boas/pythons, and got envenomated once by a mangrove snake (rear-fanged so poor delivery system - but it burned). After my second hospital trip from large lizards, I moved on. But, it is there I realized I wanted to become a wildlife biologist and work with animals in the wild, not in captivity. Next job was snake removal gig.
