Storms rolled through our area overnight and we definitely needed the rain. No real damage in my area thankfully. Temps much cooler this morning and humidity is down for now. Forecast calls for a nice weekend.

This is an 82 Rolls pictures do not do it justice the owner has 2 others. He is the 2nd-3rd owner it was his dad's. Mineral oil hydrologic brakes and suspension. He said there are plenty of parts for this car in stock. What I found interesting about it was if it is ever totalled they send out a representative for a second opinion and if it is have it shipped back to the factory and issue a death certificate.

 

I could not like that Murray. It is so sad that 4 officers were shot by a terrorist who is probably in the country illegally. Thank God the Officers were able to stop the threat and from what you wrote, stop a major mass attach. God Bless All of The many Officers who put their lives on the line everyday to protect us.

 

Nice Rolls. I hope it's only a Sunday driver as I would hate to see anything happen to it.

I have 2 VA related appointments next Tuesday. I have a blood draw at 08:30 around the corner from my home and one in Pikesville about 40 miles away. I called back to get clarification on the blood draw, seemed like from the notice by Qwest, that I was on the hook for the blood draw and urine test. The VA said the cost was on them. I just finished a year long adventure have Medicare cover the cost of the same tests. Being diligent saved me $1300.00.

Good morning. Another lazy day just the gym with an early dinner and music around 4pm today. Received a quote to seal and fill cracks on the driveway. 800 sqft for $475.00. I will probably contract with the company. I priced the materials and it would be close to $200.00 for me to do it myself. I already have the tools I need but the labor is probably too much hands and knees work for me.

 

Ken only 3 officers were shot 2 have a long way to go. That 4th one was not hit. Our community is just realizing what could have been. The only real national coverage on this tragedy came from Mark Lavine on his radio show. I know 1 of the remaining 2 injured cops took 5 rounds to the tramma plate and 1 got through. He's still in critical condition as is the other. What was never mentioned nationally was minutes after the shooter was down they went to his apartment and evacuated it . They went in with robot and drones. People were not allowed back into the place for some 12 hrs later when it was determined safe. We are the largest city in the state of North Dakota. Our metro area is close to 315 thousand.

Morning Ken , this month alone we received over 9” of rain . Calling for some thunderstorms later today . Next week looking good finally.

 

Hard to get really good pictures. The city puts these on every 3rd Thursday in the summer and it's wall to wall people, cars, booze, food trucks and cars coming and going cruzing down 7 city blocks. It attracts cars from 4 states.

Few more, if anyone wants to see anything on particular next month I can see if I can find one. These are the ones that catch my eye. They have a Corvette and mustang club that sets up in 2 businesses parking lots but fill up fast. The ones on the street come and go as they cruze the street. There are also a whole group of motorcycles in an area. But I didn't see the ones with V-8's and chopped this time. Usually there are 2 a trike and a straight chopper. Might have been in the line up for cruzing.

It could have been much worse! Sorry for the loss of life, but grateful they took him out before he inflicted more damage.

We had a crazy guy with an AR15 that shot up Austin, TX, at night a few years back. One lone police officer fired one shot over 100 yards with a .45. I Found the article. It was Smith & Wesson M&P .40 pistol distance of 312 feet while holding horse reins! Amazing marksmanship. The suspect had an AK47 & 22. Can't remember what I ate for dinner last night, but that article was from 2017.
