2001 OEM Sunroof / Moonroof - shade?

The roof on trucks equipped with the "SR" TILT-UP MOONROOF W/SUNSHADE option is structurally different (reinforcements, drains etc.) and unique to those trucks. I ordered my limited double cab 4X4 truck in 2002 with MSRP of $28,813 and paid $27,813 plus tax and lic., still like it and would order another one at that price today lol. Any other double cab moonroof trucks in here? I don't recall ever seeing one.

 

My 2001 was a double cab with the tilt up moonroof. Also a Limited 4x4 as well.

 

Mine is not a limited on paper but it has the moon roof and upgraded front seats.

 

Mine is also a 2001 double cab limited 4x4 with tilt sun roof. Exactly like the one in post 43. Even the chrome door handles. Which I don't care for really.

 

I think i might be the only one that likes the chrome accents .

 

Color matched fenders too? Mine were color matched (silver) until I painted them satin black.

 

Yep! Color matched fender flares. Silver front bumper and chrome rear bumper.

You have the inflatable lumbar in the front driver's seat?

 

Yeah I loved that about the seat.

 

Hi there, I'm grateful to hear these sunshades do exist and bummed that they're so damn difficult to locate.

My head is getting roasted in this Oregon sun (only 4 months out of the year, mind you) and I'd love to purchase or construct a cover, if anyone has ideas on how to build or where to find.

While you search for a cover have dark tint applied to the glass to help block the sun.

 

why the sunroof is made out class so the heat and uv/ub rays to cook seems like such a dumb idea.

glad my s-runner has the heat shield.


I wonder how hard it would be to have someone just make a metal sunroof or carbon sunroof replacement.
