Can anyone help me out with measurements for this grille? A, B, and C?
Trying to retrofit it into a different toyota truck.

    Thanks!

I have a question, when you buy these aftermarket grilles do the replace the whole thing? The tweaker that owned my truck before me broke a bunch of tabs off mine and it seems to be a 2 piece?

The pro grille sold by TacomaLifestyle has a removable centre mesh. Might make what you're trying a lot easier.

Do you have any updates or does anyone else have experience using Super Weatherstrip Adhesive? How is it holding up?

Does anyone know where you can get an aftermarket pro grill for a 2015 that comes with the surround? Every one I've found is just the center part.

That sure looks nice with that color. Are the letters color-matched too? Hard to tell in the pic. I added one to my 2014 a few weeks ago. It was a fun little project. Might color-key/match the surround someday (Super White) but I kind of like the chrome to be honest.

Impressive. That's a nice touch: Nice job. I lucked out: picked a vendor that had very good reviews for their aftermarket version center insert. I was a little worried about the quality mainly because it was a very reasonable price and way below the asking price for OEM. I have never seen a 2015 Pro grille in person, but it seems to be a perfect match, including the subtle silver color of the letters. No quality issues either that I saw, and I'm pretty picky. I smiled when I saw the color matched letters on yours. There's a person on YouTube that makes a huge deal of his 3rd gen Pro grill that he color matched to his truck including the letters (bronze) and that it's one of a kind, no one better copy it. Yada yada. It's tongue in cheek though and it does real nice.

I like the early 2nd gen grilles. My son has a 2005 LB AC. They just have a rugged look to them. To me they were the original predecessor to the current "big grille" look on trucks, without overdoing it like some current models out there. (cough.... Tundra) ;) I've never cared for the stylized "T" emblem on the trucks. I'm fine with it on their cars, but the letters just belong on their trucks. (IMO) My intention was never to impersonate a TRD Pro, just to personalize it a little and it will remain stock otherwise.

If anything, I'd like to color-key the door-handles, tail-gate handle, outside mirrors, grille surround. I'd always keep the chrome rear bumper though. Every color-matched painted bumper I have had on a vehicle seemed to start rusting early either from the inside/back or with the least little ding in the paint which then gradually fails as the moisture gets under it.

I sprayed a thick coating of Fluid-Film on the inside of my rear bumper when I got it. It was starting to pick up a good coating of rust and it seems to have stopped it. Black-paint-over chrome is probably a good thing. Chrome is pretty porous so the extra layer of protection will help. I also scraped, primed and re-painted the tow hitch on it. I towed a camper for many years on many vehicles and the hitches which were also always getting rusty and losing the paint. To be fair, this isn't isolated to a Tacoma. Factory, Reese, and Draw-Tite hitches on many vehicles. Good brands. They all rusted quickly over time and needed constant attention. Must be the properties of the steel they need to use.

I like the early pre-LED tail-lights too. My son razes me about mine: "Those tail lights on your truck are pretty lame Dad." I give him a fake annoyed look... but to be honest, I kinda agree with him. :D

    Hey jjohns2711

How is the 3M’s Super Weatherstrip Ahesive holding on your Tacoma Pro grill seal? I just purchased the pro grill and was considering the 3M adhesive. You said you would be giving everyone an update in your September 2021 post after a few months. Since it's over a year now I'm interested in knowing how well it worked out for you?

    Thanks in advance!

For those of you who tried 3M’s Super Weatherstrip Ahesive using the silicone weather striping that comes with the 2nd gen pro grill ... well it did not work for me and failed to stick well to the silicone strip.

So I tried the "Etopars 157" 4M Z Shape Car Door Trim Edge Moulding Rubber Weatherstrip" on Amazon that Buffdeez suggested (posting #247) and it worked GREAT!!! It was also less expensive for 157" at only $9.00 here:

Etopars 157" 4M Z Shape Car Door Trim Edge Moulding Rubber Weatherstrip Seal Strip Auto (amazon.com)

I had to remove the 3M's adhesive that was stuck on the plastic with a wood file and then sand paper. I finished sanding using very fine sandpaper to make it smooth, and I cleaned the sanded area with rubbing alcohol. Then after it dried, I taped the rubber strip on the top edge of the grill and it stuck VERY well .. I found it very difficult to remove. I'm very happy with the result!

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the info and pictures guys ! I am on the fence about getting one of these because of the weather stripping. I have been looking at these for about a year now . Glad I found this thread.

I went with a pro-style grill-only from Running 4 Tacos, and painted the letters gloss black, for a black chrome effect on the satin grill. I did need to remove one of the tabs from my OEM surround.

Just got my whole truck painted and added this grille to mine. I did modify the stock grille to fit the center piece of the new one. Reason I did this was the outer piece or the piece that bolts on to the truck was very flimsy and I didn't like that weatherstrip it came with. This way I got to use the stock weatherstrip and it's more sturdy
