Got a bone to pick with @MR E30, what’s this I hear about @Sixthelement not being able to drive his truck hard for this trip? Something about he can’t break anything before the weekend after Labor Day trip with you? Listen here buddy, I’ve got a fabricator/mechanics lean on that truck until he pays me in full. So if I want to jump that thing higher than the wedge camper can wedge up, I’m gonna do it!!!!! That is of course if it’s done in time.

    Haha!

I'm sure he will send it, would be a shame not to really.

I just miss my buddy and would be disappointed if he wasn't able to spend 8 days out at the North Rim with us all.

I know I know haha. Wills was just saying he had to take it easy so he didn’t miss your trip so I had to give ya some shit. Crossed a few things off the to do list for his truck yesterday so that was nice. Some stuff got finished. Some stuff got pushed off until after these trips so he has time to save up and buy the last few parts and so I have time to maybe work on my truck just a little bit lol

The area is definitely more catered to go fast stuff so the mouse would be better in that sense. But if you did want to do a little more exploring, the hills are pretty big and soft almost like the dunes, so the 4runner would be better for that.

Comes down to do you want to partake in smashing whoops and hitting the jump, or cruising through the whoops and exploring? It’s a tough one. If the mouse had more power and bigger tires I’d say definitely bring that because I usually run around in 2wd.

You coming solo or bringing the family?

With the fam I’d lean towards the 4runner. I anticipate it being slow going on the big group rides because there will be a variety of vehicles probably with capabilities from stock to trophy truck. We’ll cruise to some whoop sections and stop to let people blast through them and the cruise to the jump and stop and what not.

Side note for everyone. Cell reception is pretty good out there other than a few spots or if you get down in a tight valley or something. I’ll probably post up on one of the race radio channels for the group rides. Probably bfg pit or something that everyone should have access too.

With good suspension and tires you can carry momentum and get around very good out there. You’re just not making it up the bigger hills in 2wd.

Count me in. My fiancé and I just need to find a hotel. We’re not equipped to camp yet.

Went and bought the milestars today, supposed to be here Monday. Excited to subject my gas mileage and steering rack to more torture. Lol

I’m still on the fence, we’ll see. Maybe I’ll see if @2012TacomaGuy wants to roll too because he’s near me and has a bike (and truck).

I’ll get back to ya on that, appreciate the offer fo sho! Might take you up on it for one night perhaps. Fiancé hasn’t been camping on account of a skin condition she has. So it’s going to be something we need to ease into.

Speaking of camping, are peeps planning on camping out there and for how many days? We might visit the Grand Canyon or Sedona for any time we aren’t wheeling. We are probably going to drive out thur the 31st to visit family in Phoenix.

I’m camping. If you do need a hotel better try to get one soon. Being a destination town it’ll fill up quick. If you need one.
