303, ceramic or something else....? I'd prefer to use just one product on both the aluminum and rubber parts.

I used the cerakote ceramic trim coat on the whole thing, really brought it back to life! I also did the entire inside of bed

I ended up just using Hybrid Solutions Ceramic from Turtle Wax. Truck is garage kept so sun fading really shouldn't be an issue but washing those textured aluminum panels could be a pain without some kind of protection.

I use 303 on my X4S, but it doesn't last very long and easily washes off. I've been wanting to try Gtechniq's C4 as I've already got CSL/EXO V4 on the paint.

I read that the 303 isn't supposed to be used on painted surfaces.....? Not really sure if it was a post or the directions on the 303 bottle. I know the 303 would be better for the rubber just not sure of the aluminum panels....?

X4S is basically a vinyl skin over aluminum slats. I'd imagine the MX4 is similar? Bakflip recommended 303 and even had something on the paperwork in the box stating such. :notsure:

No the MX4 is aluminum panels connected by rubber hinges. I can see where 303 would be prefect for a X4S.

I use 303 (recommended by Undercover for my Armorflex) and Hybrid Solutions. Either of those will be fine for the Bakflip.

I have been happy with the Hybrid Solutions...I haven't tried the 303.

Was trying to use 303 on my BakFlip aluminum bed cover, not impressed with, honestly.
Ending up coating whole thing with G-Technique ceramic spray.
Works much better so far.

Def use something with UV protection especially if your truck is outside a lot. I’m in AZ and the sun destroys cars here. I have seen a few people with the Bakflip and the rubber hinge and edging start to crack and deteriorate. I try to at least hit the rubber parts with some protectant after a wash and the whole thing on occasion. I have used 303 on mine with no issues.
