What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Looks great ! Any drilling or does it just slide and snap it . I’ve thought about one but I’ve got a sun roof so not sure. But I like the looks and could come in handy I would think.

 

I don’t know anything about this brand but reading the description, I don’t like a 50% duty cycle. Also would you be building a manifold for it? It says not for filling up one tire at a time. I currently use a Viair 450p and it works great, 100% duty cycle and is around the same price point.

 

Does not interfere with my sunroof in the front to back configuration. I haven’t tried the sunroof in the side to side mode but it sits up pretty good. I doubt it would be an issue.

 

I already have a DIY setup to fill 4 tires at a time made up from a cut up Lowes air hose from my old truck. All these duty cycle are subjective- usually with 0 load.

 

Installed a trail edition grill today. Thought it would be nice to match the wheels!

My big adventure today was a trip to sportsman warehouse to pick up some ammo since I found a great place to shoot with a nice back stop on one of the trails I found this week getting lost in the hills lol.
So now I have another reason to take the taco on another adventure next week end .

Well if the duty cycle isn’t a concern and you have the setup to fill all 4 at once, I’d say roll the dice and test it out!

Picked up some gently used Fox 2.0 for the rear. Came across a screaming deal on the ole Craigslist and couldn’t resist.
These will do for now and will be a good placeholder during shock rebuild times for my future suspension plans.

What’s with the air compressors people are putting under the hood? What function do they serve?

It you press them (and sometimes massage them in) they will stick to the headliner.

Pulled my blown motor out, and got the junkyard one loosely bolted in. Probably finish the rest later in the week, and hopefully be driving it next weekend

 

Lots of folks air down their tires for off roading, it helps to provide a smoother ride on rough trails, helps with added traction and less likely hood of a puncture.

Once you’ve aired down for a trail, you have to air back up for the road to avoid a dangerous situation with underinflated tires at highway speeds.

Air compressors, like the ARB units you’ll typically see, are a faster, more reliable way to air back up (compared to a standard cigarette lighter plug in air compressor).

Some also use it for air lockers, air tools and air suspension, amongst other things.
