If they don't unplug the camera there's no need for it. But like dummies they do. It's the same concept as unhooking your battery it resets everything. BTW safelite sucks. To be fair that's how I got my start in autoglass. There's alot of hacks that work for them. Which taught me the correct way of doing glass. Lots of guys think they know what they are doing but reality I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw a ball. And that's not very far

O and the calibration is just a Huge money grab.
Only vehicle I've ever had a issue with was a lexus ls460. Which they had to go back to lexus to have calibrated.

However, THEY which stands for (The Heresay Experts for You) say that you should also get this done after lifts, alignments, or adding tires above OEM specs so it’s reading the road accurately. How many have done that? Not saying it shouldn’t be done for full windshield replacement just for safety sake but…

 

I work at a slaughterhouse.. if it gets hot I can just go hang out in the coolers (36F), the freezer (-10F) or the blast freezer (-40f).

I was up in my attic around 11am this morning. Not pleasant at all. Went back up at 1:30 to grab a tool I forgot and it was much worse.

 

Natural gas plant on Brunot Island is burning. Crews can't access the island with trucks, only get ferry'd over and the Pittsburgh water rescue boats pumps are currently inoperable. Smoke is getting pushed straight up our valley. Heavy rain is keeping the smoke nice and low here. Luckily the windows are closed and air is on. Warning all my neighbors. Video was taken from Beaver Avenue in front of Duquesne light, down from the penitentiary at the bottom of our valley.

 

And here I always thought Neville Island would go up like that. Did contract work for a place beside that petroleum plant. You could smell what seemed like turpentine in the air. Not surprised if I glow in the dark after spending time on that island.

 

I hated working down there breathing that shit in daily (it takes your breath away when driving by it). I drove for a recycling plant and worked in the warehouse which was wide open 24/7.
