Hey y'all!! Looking to slowly build my Taco to be a rock crawling and overlanding beast. I'm open to any suggestions y'all have, and what mods would first be best. I'm trying to keep it on a budget but also not too drastic. My truck is a 2018 TRD 4x4 Off Road, which I put pictures of below. Thanks for any ideas y'all have!!

I say drive it stock for a few months first and decide what you actually need. These trucks, especially the ORs, have everything a lot of people will ever need.

It’s hard to recommend stuff unless you give us a better idea of how you’re going to use the truck. I know you said rock crawling and overlanding but those are two very different things.

If you really want a lift and bigger tires on a budget go with the Bilstein 6112/5160. If kept under 2" you shouldn't need uca's, but many opt for the JBA high castor uca's and the Icon RXT leafs with that combo to get the alignment dialed. 265/75/16 or 285/70/16 tires on those wheels you already have.

Hotshot doesn't charge sales tax or shipping.

Once you have that checked off you can look into lights, sliders, bumpers, skids and a shell or soft top if you want.

Not sure what the mileage is on that 2018, but you might drop some coins on maintenance (fluid changes/filters, ect).

Save a little of that budget for a rainy day too. :hattip:
