    100%. Wise words sir.

Absolutely no point trying to predict the future. Whatever we think “will” happen is usually not as bad or doesn’t happen at all.

Live in the moment and enjoy life, it’s very precious.:)

99.9% of Tacoma owners have minor issues (at worst) with their truck.

Surprisingly I’ve got zero rattles despite having spent many miles on very rough roads.

My taco has been rock solid so far. Couldn’t be happier.

Easy fix. Get off of Facebook.

Need a reason to do so? Actually read the entire privacy statement.

    About the Tacoma…

22 SR5 bought in Dec 22. Already out of warranty by 4k miles. My ac drips on very humid days hence I have all weather rubber mats to catch the water. My transmission fluid was low from the factory. As was front and rear diff.

I changed to 0W40 oil at the recommendation of Kendall Toyota in Fairbanks AK midway through a 12K mile trip from May 6 to July 2 of this year from VA to AK to UT, TX and back home. Was spending a lot of time in 4WD especially in the snow and mud in AK. And yes the manual says that you can use a heavier oil.

Rear diff has 85W140 Dino oil in it. No more rear diff whine. Thanks ECGS.

Changed the transmission fluid last week to redline. No issues.
Front diff and transfer case to be done this weekend.

Damn I’m doing all the things “not” to be done. Still enjoy the hell out of my Toyota.

So 40895 miles since December. Knew about the coolant crossover pipe issue, and all the other stuff that’s “wrong” with the third gen. Still bought it. Didn’t worry. Still don’t.

If you worry too much in life life is going to pass you by. Get the truck take care of it and enjoy it. Or sit and worry if you made the right decision. Either way your paying for a truck. Rather have money well spent than money worried about.

Just a few accessories, mud flaps, bed cover , racks, seat covers, ….

We also have in mind, any serious or multi vehicle issues will be a “recall” process buy manufacturer.

My, God. I bet when you pick the truck up you’ll be so scared a finishing nail can’t be hammered into your ass. Stay strong.

22 Taco, 11K miles of rough trails and steep mountain passes in 100+ degree F weather

    - 0 issues
    - zero rattles of any kind or any complaints about anything

My wife’s Japan built highly regarded 5th Gen 4runner has more interior and exterior noises and has never left the pavement.

Be careful what you read here. While this can be a great resource for specifics and solving problems or sharing them, it is also a hub for people to present their issues which can often make them seem way more prevalent than they are. Read enough here and you'd be convinced that 50% of owners want, have, or are seeking the manual transmission despite it only actually making up 5% of sales.

Once you drive it away from the dealer, your worries will subside. You'll love it.

50% are looking for a manual because the automatic ships half a quart low in fluid from the factory :cookiemonster:
