Many of you have been waiting a long time for my Baja Bound Road Guide to be published. Me too!!!

Baja Bound is a very busy company sponsoring many activities. My work on the guide was to be enhanced with large chapter header color photos (not all from me) and other nuances for a professional look, so a professional was hired to work on it. 2020 looked to be the year to publish the guide, then BAM, Covid hit the world, people stopped traveling, and the publishing was put on hold, naturally. It looked like 2022 was going to be the year for the guide, but no... Word I get from Baja Bound is that it will be ready for introduction at the Sept. 30, 2023 Baja Expo in San Diego. Yes, my 2010 4x4 Off Road Tacoma is on the cover!

The guide was my gift to Baja Bound, thanking them for hiring me to travel so many thousands of miles over the peninsula (Dec. 2016 to Aug. 2018) to record waypoints (GPS) and photos for their interactive map: https://www.bajabound.com/map/ (600+ points of interest from me, and more were added since).

My work on it originally ended in late 2018, following eight recon trips.
See the photos and notes in the eight trip reports posted on Tacoma World as well as eight photo albums ('web pages').
They are all listed/ linked here: https://vivabaja.com/tacoma-travels/

Here is a page about the guide: https://vivabaja.com/baja-bound-road-guide/

Here are the 30 maps I made for the road guide. Road conditions were updated to 2022: https://vivabaja.com/davids-2018-maps/

Here is a sample of how I designed the road guide itself:

The guide has been updated prior to publishing, as best as I was able. Here is an example of an updated page:

As always, I am happy to advise for your trip planning or curiosity.
My website is full of travel details, photos, and Baja history: https:vivabaja.com
I also have two Facebook groups, VivaBaja and BajaMissions (links on VivaBaja.com).
Some of you have my book on the Baja California Missions. (I hope you will find my new road guide just as valuable a resource):

Don't forget to utilize my www.vivabaja.com website for all your Baja travel planning... as long as it is for off road adventures and camping and NOT any of that sissy Cabo or Rosarito city stuff!
