    2016 V6 with 3 pedals.

twice now, fire it up...go to pull outta the driveway and the gas pedal does nothing. Once I realized what was happening...I purposefully advanced it to about 1/2 throttle, with no reaction whatsoever from the engine (or throttle body...i guess). Released the pedal for a second or 2, then applied again and things worked just fine.

Had the truck for a year now, 112K miles. It's done this only twice for me in the last 2 weeks.

Is this a thing with these? No codes, CEL, history codes, pending codes, or otherwise.

Do you have a way to look at the throttle position? I use a cheap ebay Bluetooth dongle connected to my phone with the torque pro app. You can see what percent throttle is being demanded by you or the ECU. If you have that reading displayed and push the throttle and the reading never changes that would give you a decent indication of what may be wrong.

Yeah, I have several very capable scanners, but I can't guess when it'll act up....and no sense checking it when it's working because it's obviously working.

I don't understand how you could not get a code for that. I would think it would have something to do with the pedal itself however, there is circuit redundancy built into the pedal. Interesting problem!

Is there a battery in either the throttle or pedal unit that should be replaced eventually? (its a little early to fail but still worth looking at)

Are any of your scanners able to be hooked up constantly and you just have that display pulled up all the time? Then when it happens you glance over at it and see what the reading is?

Are you rolling back a bit?
Not sure on the manual, but the anti rollback feature on the AT works well, but does use TC to limit forward power for a split second.

no..My driveway is on a bit of slope, and I back in. Fired it up, grab first...let the clutch out at idle while sort of looking both ways (stop sign is 10 feet from my driveway...no point in hitting the skinny pedal out of the gate)...then I get into the throttle and nothing happens...pushed it slowly to the floor to make sure I wasn't nuts...and still, nothing happens. Release it, get back into it...truck goes.

I can't keep my scanner on all the time, unfortunately...
