I'm rolling up on 140k miles and will be replacing seals in the trans transfer and shaft input. I am changing out the clutch kit and the slave cylinder so my question is will this slave cylinder work with the 2015 Tacoma with 6spd V6? If not what is a good heavy duty one to use I have a stage three clutch in there and will be replacing with another stage 3 clutch.

    Hi Chip.

I just thought I would pop in here and share this with you. If you have been having trouble with the OE release hardware, A Tilton HRB might work out well for you with the new clutch. Here’s a link to a thread with lots of good info. Chime in on that thread and there will be plenty of guys that will have some great advice/suggestions for you.

What clutch exactly are you planning to run?

As for your Wilwood cylinder working in there, I really don’t think so. Nor do I really see a good reason to use that in lieu of a new OE part. Machining adapters and modifying the hydraulic lines to work with the Wilwood piece sure sounds like a lot more trouble than it would be worth.

Match up bore and travel / stroke so your components are compatible. May be worth a call to Wilwood. Tilton is good also.
Is your pressure plate different than OEM? Release travel & clamping force?
