2023 Tacoma Trail Package

Can anyone explain the issue with installing a Tonneau cover for the trail package? Apparently you'll need to remove the storage boxes in the truckbed before you can install a cover. This is wild if it's true, I don't understand how Toyota doesn't have a fix around for this :\
