I have a 2021 with 46k miles and a grinding noise coming from the left front wheel that I’ve noticed since I purchased the truck and I need some assistance.
    1) I have had it to the dealership 3x and they find nothing wrong. Once they told me they found the missing battery mounting rod stick in the break assembly. (I call BS)
    2) I’ve had the break pads replaced 2x along with a wheel alignment
    3) It only does it in reverse with the steering wheel turned to the right about half way.
    4) It sounds like the tire rubbing against the wheel well or other component but there is no evidence of a rubbing.
    5) It can be felt in the steering wheel.
    6) I have not noticed the noise in 4wd. I live in central Illinois so 4wd is only used a few times a year

I’m getting ready to take it to the dealership again for the same thing in 2 weeks and was hoping for some additional ideas before I get there
Sorry if this seems too complicated but I come from an aviation background and the more information the better.

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

Try taking the truck to an empty quiet parking lot with a trustworthy assistant.
One person drives, the other walks along next to the truck trying to further identify the noise.

If you have a jack and some safety stands you can raise the front wheels off the ground and spin/shake/pry on different components.

While you have the wheels off the ground see if there is any play, check by trying to shake the wheel both side to side and top to bottom.

Could be a wheel bearing or CV joint, inspect the CV axle boots for any damage/grease.

I have to admit, the thread title drew me in. I was expecting this to go in a completely different direction. :anonymous:

What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing the same way and expecting a different result. It looks like you've taken it to this dealership multiple time and they find nothing. I would suggest before you waste your time again that you find a reputable, independent shop who actually knows what they're doing and let them properly diagnose the issue. You are out of your bumper-to-bumper warranty on mileage anyway.

At first I thought a wheel bearing but after reading not sure. If the dealer can't find then who knows. Good luck
