    Hi
I was thinking about using the liquid moly engine flush next oil change.
I have about 226K miles on my 09 tacoma now. The only thing that worries me since the oil filter is on top... and I always see the some residual oil where the oil filter seats when I change. I just dont want the flush stuff to stay there after I change the oil.
anyone have comment on this? thx

Should be no need to flush the oil system unless the engine is sludged up from neglected oil changes.

Never use engine flush. It removes the “good” deposits as well as the bad.

You should be fine, I’m not familiar with what it looks like where the filter sits that your talking about as I have a first gen taco, but maybe you could stick a paper towel in there to suck up some more of the remaining oil or a vacuum if your worried. You could always just follow up with an early oil change for the first one after the flush.

I used that flush on my 350k+ mile 2.7 and while I can’t say for sure it’s related, my oil consumption has decreased a bit.

have used BG flush before without issue.
I probably idled it 10min with it because I didn’t feel it needed any extreme flushing in terms of various products instructions of driving up to 20 miles, etc

actually held the RPM where it said to.

You do the oil change hot. And loosen the filter first for oil to come down.
    Then drain.
