I killed two of my OEM sensors and replaced them with the overseas variant that can be found on Amazon. Later, I installed an aftermarket bumper with a swingout with provisions for the sensors.

I switched the sensors over, and as expected, the overseas replacement versions went belly up. I eventually found some reasonably priced OEM sensors on eBay. I installed them and now have a constant alarm from them (both in the center position). This wasn't happening previously. Which could have been the crappy replacements.

Also, when I open the swingout, the alarm goes away. So obviously (I hope), it's picking this up.

So after all that: is there a way to recalibrate the parking sensors through Techstream? I did some Googling and didn't see anything. I'd love the answer to this to be yes. I went through a lot to maintain this system and would love it if it still functioned. Thanks.

Know this is an old post, but did you have any luck in the alarm going away? I replaced a sensor as well and have been getting the alarm the past few days as well.

No, they just pop in. Typically if the issues sustain its either the harness or the sensor up stream from the one claiming to fail.

It's in series like old christmas lights passenger to drivers, so if the mid left is causing errors, sometimes its actually mid right causing it.

The only way to diag is to swap sensors and see if the issue moves, or check resistance in the harness for continuity.

Thanks for the info, I'm getting different locations than the OP but maybe I will readjust them and see if anything changes. Dealership has been calling me and say it's covered in my warranty but I bet it won't be once they see I replaced the sensor and bumper caps with non-OEM parts....
