Howdy, I'm looking at ordering a Bilstein 6112/5160 lift kit for my 2nd gen. The website I'm ordering from offers the installation of the coil, and lets me select which circlip notch to set the front suspension. I've chosen the 650# spring, as I'm planning on adding a metal bumper for clearance, and some skid plates down the road. I'm looking to get a 2"-2.5" lift. I've also selected the medium duty Dakar leaf pack for the rear as I have a canopy on the bed, and will eventually add a bumper after the front one and skid plates. Right now I'm looking at using the #9/#7 circlip setting for the fronts, but want to know if anyone else had experience with a similar setup on a 2nd gen. I'll try to include a photo of the circlip graph from their website. I've got a 4x4 v6 access cab for reference.

Edit: As a side note, I'm also curious as to what the biggest tire size I could run on 16's would be with this set up before I have rubbing issues. 265/75? 275?

I would try and add the weight first or at the same time, do 10/8 w the 650 spring and then an alignment at a real 4x4 shop and not a chain store.

I would also budget for UCAs if going above 2" too.

    Tires depend on wheel offset.

Thanks Jfriday. I'll give that setting a whirl. I ordered some SPC UCA's with them, so should be good there. The wheels I've got on the way are Method 701's 16x8, 0 offset, 4.5" backspace. I'm planning to put some 285/75/r16 tires on them. I expect to have to do some trimming in the wheel well, maybe a CMC, but I'll hold off on that unless it proves absolutely necessary.
