Brand New Black 2023. White area missing paint, scuff or defect?

    Bed cover, soon bug deflector, halo interior lights and backup
    It looks to irregular to be a defect in the paint. If you can’t feel a ridge with your fingernail. It was likely clearcoated over it

    Yeah can't feel it at all with my fingernail what so ever. If not a defect then what could it be?

    Get it wet, if disappears it will buff, in clear coat only.

    I have something similar that I noticed day one. It's like a fleck of paint went missing before clearcoat was applied. Slightly annoyed but wasn't about to bring it up and have a body shop touch my new truck. I think it's just a quality control problem in manufacturing. I'm just gonna live with it.

    Yeah I think on the same page of just letting it stay the way it is. It's pretty low on the rear door and on a black truck you'd really have to look to see it with all the other scratches and dirt and dust that is already accumulating at 400 miles and 3 weeks of ownership ha
