I will let you know what I think once I get some miles on it. At the moment I don’t think I am, just going to run it and see if it is something that needs addressing

Slowly but surely it’s getting there! I’ve got to get that botched hole covered up soon, it’s bothering me lol. The one thing I didn’t want to mess up

Haha yeah I’ve given it my best effort. It even has a 1” body lift to help with clearance, but it’s still super tight down there bc of the crawl box. If it rattles now I will be letting it self clearance until the next time it needs a clutch

Filled both transfer cases and the transmission with gear oil about an hour ago and no leaks yet!

Also reinstalled the console temporarily. The front two shifters have no issues or interference at all which made things easy. I did end up going to back to a shorter transmission stick which was the one provided with the Hurst/Core R156F short shifter. I had a taller one on it previously due to the body lift, but the R156F one works perfect!

The AWD case right now interferes with the console in low locked, but that one will likely be moved anyways so it will work for now. I think I might order a 3D printed center console with a t-case shifter cutout for the rear one. Oh yeah, the e-brake bracket needs some modification too so add that to the list

Boost can get expensive in a hurry with all the little things that add up and kill the budget. I’d say get the crawl box knocked out since you already have a donor case and some parts for that, and then get on @Torspd ’s list for a turbo manifold :D

Is that Toyota FIPG you used? Probably a good idea for me to reseal my fj case before install.

Cool, I’ll save a couple bucks. How do you plan to seal the shifter holes?

I’ll be sealing the front two with a lower shifter boot from a 6spd FJ cruiser. Still trying to figure out what to do for the rear one, I haven’t found a perfect solution for it just yet. Maybe a lower shifter boot from an A/T FJ t-case would work. I still need to do some more research on this one. If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears

I just been searching eBay for boots from other vehicles to get ideas. Finding a properly sized boot isn’t the issue. It’s sealing it to an uneven service that is the challenge. I might end up getting a boot with a metal retainer and seal the contours with roof flashing tape.

I am a big believer that less is more, but this is something that needs a little more lol
Yeah that’s a good point, I will be doing some more digging on this soon hopefully. I just need to get one more CV and seals in, and then driveshafts and I’ll be driving it and I can focus on the aesthetics

Built an extension harness for the speedometer gear yesterday. I used pieces from a spare 1GR wire harness I had laying around, so the wires are the same gauge and close in color as well. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Added about 15” to it for reference.

New shift knob for the crawl box came in today. I got this from core shifters and they’re designed for toyota trucks/4Runners with a twin stick conversion. Match is perfect with the other two
    IMG_8356.jpg

Front driveshaft came in today and fits great. Hoping the rear one shows up soon
    IMG_8391.jpg

Also finally wrapped up cv’s, wheel bearings, & seals today. Need to fill the front diff and run the breather lines and I’ll be testing out the front wheel drive later this evening if all goes as planned

Looks almost like there would t be enough spline engagement on the front shaft but could be more up in tube than I can see lol

Lol something tells me the 34s and 8” ring gear wouldn’t get along so famously :D

I appreciate you looking out! This is Tom Wood’s X-Spline. It’s a little longer and beefier than the standard one. Their website says there should be about 3.25” give or take a half an inch showing. Just measured mine and ive got 3 3/8”:fistbump:

So what's going on here? You can get FWD and AWD. How about 2WD?

    I think I missed something.
