    Hello guys,

I just bought my taco and would like for you guys to recommend me any guides or articles here in this site that will help me choose a lift + tire size (maybe rims too).

Goal with the lift is to not compromise much of the MPG. Off roading will not be anything crazy since even that topic is new to me. This truck will still be driven in pavement the majority of the time. As far as budget im not sure of either as i would like something in the middle. I dont want the cheapest option but nothing too crazy expensive.

Specs i have the stock suspension + stock tires which by guessing i have a little less than a year left of life on them. Please guide me in the right direction as i want to learn as much. If there is any guides here which a lot of them are outdated (links not working).

Picture of current setup for reference:

I'll try to give you some info to get you going.

    For the front suspension:
Your gonna want longer coil springs to provide the lift. The 3 most common options you'll see on these trucks are: Old Man Emu (OME) 88x (880, 881, 882, 883), Eibach, or Toytec.

You'll also need a longer shock body inside that coil spring (AKA a coilover assembly). Bilstein 5100s, and OME Nitrochargers are pretty much the 2 available options that are in the median price range.

    For the rear suspension:

You'll want your lift to come from leaf springs and for that OME Dakars are pretty much the go to option. Some will use blocks or add-a-leafs here, but those are both using your old (likely worn out) leaf packs.

Lastly, I'd avoid the allure of using spacers to provide lift up front. They're the cheapest way to lift the front, but they ride like crap, and many claim the increased preload they put on your front suspension will likely wear out front end components quicker.

Also you'll save a ton of money installing this all yourself with shop labor rates being what they are these days. That money saved can go towards higher quality components. Hope this helps.
