Never had it move above normal and today it went pretty high but still out of the danger zone. Stopped and shut it down and fan wa spinning while coolant went into the overflow. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and fires it up again.

Stayed normal for the rode home. Faulty thermostat that got stuck?

    What's everyone think?

I think you shut it down for nothing if you said it wasn't in the danger zone. If it's hot out sometimes it works harder

Probably just the weather but now's a good time to ask when you last changed or checked the coolant?

Did you check the coolant level after it cooled down?

No ot was boiling into the overflow. Much hotter than right above normal. It was under right by a smidge.
