I just bought an ABS actuator assembly off eBay. Question is, if I keep the module / valve body all assembled, and install as a unit, will I have to re-program the new module?

If I split the unit apart, and attach my module to the new valve / actuator body, what happens if I pinch one of the little red rubber seals? No way to buy new ones that I know of...

    Advice?

Any help appreciated... I've owned truck since new. 2007 4WD 4D 235,000 miles. New brake pads, shoes 50K or so ago, then brakes started fading, didn't stop as well, more pedal travel, slowly got worse, didn't drive it much, no big deal. Then I had an employee drive it for one summer, it got worse over the summer, but he adjusted to it.

This summer, I have a new employee, needed him in this truck, drove it to get kinks out, hasn't been run much in months, and brakes are even worse, so I get my mechanics / son / son-in-law to go thru brakes. New shoes, adjusted, new pads, new caliper on one side, bled brakes, same deal... no difference. Pedal is pretty firm until you crank engine, then slowly sinks to the floor. Barely enough stopping power to actually stop the truck.

I bled the brakes again, used my S-in-law's Snap-on Solus scan tool to bleed thru the 6 ABS solenoids, nothing made a difference, so I decided it had to be in the ABS module / actuator, so I replaced it, went through the whole bleed, ABS bleed process again... no difference whatsoever.

    Ideas or thoughts? Proportioning valve?
