Just got a new Tacoma TRD Pro yesterday and I noticed this on the frame today.
It seems like the frame is slightly deflected on the rear. I'm taking it to a 3rd party shop tomorrow to get an inspection, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar ("issue"?) on their Tacoma.

Not sure if it's an actual issue, but I'm a little worried if the frame is in the necking phase, past ultimate tensile strength.

As someone with OCD and who has nitpicked my 2022 and 2023 to death to the point of not enjoying them as much as I should, just drop it. Trust me. It doesn't look like that big of a deal and youll start finding more and more wrong with your truck everytime you look. Drive it enjoy it and try not to worry.

Haha no, i mean i would be annoyed as shit to see that on a TRD pro but I noticed its a slippery slope and if you look for problems, youll find them.

I think that distortion is pretty much the norm for tacoma's on that part of the frame. My tacoma frame looks similiar in that area, I doubt there is anything to worry about. I believe there was a post a little while back that discussed the same thing and members posted pics of their frames and they all had those ripples.

Yeah you’re going way overboard on this one… my ‘21 looks the same.
    Calm down and move on.
    * also just because it’s a “Pro” doesn’t make it special or in any way different that any other Taco frame.

It’s where Jerry bent the frame over his workbench after getting it cherry-red with an acetylene torch. He doesn’t always get it right, but he’s the best fabricator Toyota has.

FWIW my frame looks much the same. They are not high-spec items. If you know welding…….don’t look at the welds.

Too late. I already looked at the welds…
I’ve actually seen worse welds on offshore rigs and ships, but that’s not saying much :)

    Fox shocks cause this.

To be certain, let’s swap out w my Bilsteins, test for a couple years. Risky I know, but a gamble I’m willing to take to help out a fellow Taco owner

I didn’t pay. Just wanted peace of mind.
Thankfully, I gave my Fox shocks to Lunar Squirrel and it was fixed!
