Last year around May I installed the Westcott TRD pro fronts along with Icon RXT rear leafs. I have had these Geolandars on since July of 2021. The rear tires are near perfect whereas my fronts, every other tread/knobby is worn down. Every other one, like almost perfectly. I had all tires rebalanced just to make sure it wasn't a balancing or inflation issue. When the local truck shop installed the Westcott fronts (I lived in an apartment without a garage so no place to work) they stated my caster was off by almost 1% but not quite a full 1%.

Anyone have any idea what would cause this? I've never seen anything specifically like this and I'm about to take another road trip in a month or so, so I'd like to have this solved before ruining another set of tires (buying 33's this month).

I've added 5 photos, 3 of the front 2 of the rears as you can see aren't affected.
(one photo is about a year old before the tread was worn down as much)

    Tire bouncing.
Out of balance, bad shocks, or bad brakes.

That was my initial thought as well but this didn't start happening until after the westcott kit was on which is weird. It's almost perfectly every other knobby too so I've seen some tires from bad shocks and tire bouncing before and they weren't oddly specific like these

Duratracs do that no matter what you do. Try doing a front-cross tire rotation every time. Should help to even it out a little.

    Never seen that either.
Find it hard to believe that is something vehicle related.
More of a tire characteristic or defect.

I agree as the truck doesn't ride any different now than it did before. I checked for suspension leaks and tire bouncing on road (sometimes obviously bad enough you can see it) and I found nothing. I'd say tire defect for sure but being that the two fronts did the exact same thing and the rears are perfectly fine, I'm pretty stumped.

That's the tire design. There's no alignment issue that could possibly cause that...or even suspension "action" that could account for it. Our trucks do tend to *exaggerate* cupping along with whatever other issues folks may have present. But I agree with @Maticuno ... When you rotate them (at least every 5k) cross them front to rear - and go rear straight up to the front. Pretty much all IFS trucks (that I have experience with) have needed rotated like that to help as much as possible.

The tires have been on the truck for 2 years.
How many miles in those 2 years?
I didn't read that they have been rotated in 2 years?

This is exactly what I have to do with my Duratracs. My Duratracs howl soooo bad, I won’t get them again

They've been rotated at least once, not nearly enough I know. Total mileage for these is probably around 20k.

I have not, but I'll definitely check just in case!

That's very common with tires with more aggressive tread. It is usually the front tires and happens when you corner. The more aggressively you take corners the more it shows up. It rarely if ever happens with street tires or mild All Terrans.

Rotate often. If you catch it soon enough and move those tires to the rear they will eventually wear down to the same tread depth. Hopefully before the tires currently on the front get too bad. But once you get to a certain point, and you're there, they will never even out and those spots will continue to slap the pavement and make noise.

Keeping the air pressure a little on the high side helps prevent it too. This is just one of the negatives of using an aggressive tire. If you want to play, you've got to pay.
