I currently have stock 2008 Tacoma TRD Sport, and wondering what tires and lift to put on it. I’ve been looking on Tacoma world for days and settled on the Nitto Terra Grappler as a first good tire for the truck but don’t know which size. I’m wondering if I should just go for the 32” on the stock suspension and then get an Eibach Pro lift kit 0-2” with a rear leaf later. Or…wait and buy the lift and the 33” at the end of this year? The tires will be going on the stock 17” rims for now. I am definitely going on some light trails no matter what size I get but it the truck will mainly be used to get to a from work/school on paved roads.

Do you absolutely need new tires right now?

It’s not a necessity but I just want some bigger tires than the stock ones that’s all. I wanna try and ride on the trails in Trukee, CA.

On the other hand, I was initially thinking about keeping the stock tires since they are brand new and putting some better looking wheels on. Such as the Granite Alloy GA640 17” +01 mm offset.
