Monday and the last day of the month. For a sales guy that's a shitty combo.

Nice weekend in Cleveland. Flew Mom in from NH for a family reunion. Lots of food, cornhole, and hiking in a National Park. Cleveland gets a bad rap but it's actually a pretty cool area. Not Acadia, by any stretch.

Tonight I'm working on getting this wrapped up. some lighting issues is all that remains.

Gorgeous area for photos and nice bike! One of my friends dad still rides one, 82 years young.

First day back at work from vaca.

About twenty phone calls first thing and a coworker spewing an hour worth of what happened while I was gone and how I ‘cant leave me unattended like that’. No shit, sherlock.

Asked the manager and got a resounding ‘absolutely not’. They track our computer and phones (and trucks) so im not going to even attempt it.

Spent the day in the hospital. On Friday, I scuffed my knee a little (no big deal right?). By Saturday my knee was the size of a grapefruit, really red and warm. Waited through Sunday to see if things improved, negative. The redness was spreading down the front of my leg. Went to my Dr this am and I have a skin infection. Got two shots (like horse needles) of antibiotics in my ars. And got admitted so they could test to see if the infection had traveled to my actual knee joint (that would be bad). Was hard to tell, so out of precaution they admitted me for IV/drip antibiotics. Lovely day. It's called cellulitis. Bacterial skin infection.

Now I have to stay off it for the rest of the week.

Damn man. I hope your joint is unaffected. That's a mess I don't wish on anybody. How'd you scuff the knee?

I was working on a farmer's Porch replacing the deck boards. Was on my knees and must have just broken the skin sliding around. No tear in my pants or anything. Don't recall feeling anything funny.

Yah. That's the last thing I was expecting. It was hot AF that day and Friday evening and Saturday I was feeling mild lightheaded, chills, fever, etc. I was thinking that was just minor heat exhaustion. Au contrair.

Yah, the fever, chills, etc have pretty much gone away. Still feeling a little off due to the infection though. Hoping to see progress in a day or two (reduced redness and swelling).

My coworker had that in his elbow, hes a jacked ol’ beefcake and he looked like he had a bingo-wing it was so full of fluid. Had it drained a few times, meds, etc and took awhile but finally healed. Same deal, from a cut. Immune systems are weird as shit.
