Hello all. I have the dreaded P0012 engine code on my 2015 Taco V6. I have replaced the vvt solenoids and cam position sensors on both drivers and passenger side.I cleared the code and I drove for less than 1 day and the engine light is back on‍♂️.

The truck is running good with no drivability issues. Is the ECM just slow on the uptake or is there possibly another repair needed?
Thanks for any help guys !

Was the same code present before you changed those parts?
Did you check the screens for the oil control valves?

Hi Dm93 . I had the same code before repairs. I checked the screen on the passenger side(bank 1) and it was pretty clean. The driver’s side looks a-lot more labor intensive with having to drop the alternator so trying to avoid it. I religiously change the engine oil/filter every 5000 kms

Well as you have replaced all the external components the next thing is to check mechanical timing.

I assume you don't have a 4 channel (or at least a 2 channel) oscilloscope?
If you do it would be very easy to do, otherwise you would need to pull the valve covers.
