    During my long vehicle hunt (my Nissan Frontier was dying) the 4Runner was a strong contender but the used prices were insane. (Apparently only the Corvette hold value better) So when a very clean relatively low mile 2013 Taco showed up I snagged it instead.

    That is why I ended up buying a new one. Never bought a new vehicle before, and I don't know that I ever will again. But, it was fun while it lasted. With over 100,000 miles since January of 2019, it hasn't been "new" in a long time, lol!

    Oh, yeah! I think some of those came with the 22R-TE, which had a whopping 135 HP and 173 lb/ft of torque! I think they ran like 11's in the 1/4 mile.

    FWIW, last week I smoked my dads other 4R off the line(2007 4th Gen with about 175k miles)

    His 4R is completely stock on SL tires. I’m 650 pounds overweight, on E rated 33s and lifted 2”.:)

    Actually been a while since I drag raced with someone.

    I prefer driving my Tacoma over my wife’s 4R but I wouldn’t mind trading into a 4R if it were a fair deal. Knowing how stealerships work they’d under value my truck by $10k and over charge $5k for the trade + taxes, tags and fees.. f that
