    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum. Nice to own a new Toyota 4x4 again. I owned a 1984 SR5 Long Bed 4x4 years ago and loved it. Did a lot of 4-wheeling with it and hope to d the same with my new Tacoma.

I purchased a REDARC brake controller unit and I cannot find the dongle on the truck that is supposed to plug into the wire harness from the brake controller. I removed the panel to the left of the brake pedal and the panel under the dash. I even climbed up under the dash and looked around but I cannot find the plug that is supposed to plug into the brake controller unit. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? Does Toyota plug the loose end of the dongle into a blank socket just to keep it from flopping around or ??? I really expected it to be totally obvious when I removed the panels but it most definitely isn't. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

It’s tucked back behind other wiring bundles usually. Don’t worry, it’s a pain for everyone to find not just for you.
