I purchased my 2013 Tacoma XSP-X in 2016 with 30K miles on it. I wanted the XSP-X because it was 4x4 with the nicer interior and exterior features. I'll try to keep this thread from being all over the place!

Cleaned up the rear wiring and added a KC Cyclone to the rear hatch. It's so clean now. Definitely good to get it off the list. I'll probably add another cyclone or two to the inside. The track system is perfect for hiding wires.

I'm a big fan of visibility and safety. The Putco Blade LED bar checked that box. Mounting it high isn't blinding but for sure gets your attention. It also allows me to get a 270 awning or a shorter awning for the back of I want due to the low profile.
KC Cyclone output definitely fills up the bed area. I was considering putting another in but I don't think I'll need to. IMG_20230803_053647280.jpg IMG_20230803_050703970_HDR.jpg

Got a trip this weekend so today was a good day to swap the stock mattress foam with this mattress topper I had rolled up in the attic the past five years. Don't think my wife will mind. :) Blue top is the new stuff, here's a side by side. IMG_20230805_184418359_HDR.jpg

Flash back to the Cooper AT3 4's and TRD Wheels. These were such great wheels but the Brushed Copper SCS Ray 10's became my unicorns.
Also shown is the flat SLEE Sliders I had and one of many...many....many sets of headlights I've gone through.

Over the years I've gone through a bunch of headlights. Living in Southeast GA the cheap ones got crushed by the UV.

I'd tell anyone now to stay stock or buy from a reputable company. Luckily with all the cheap ones I got them swapped out or refunded under warranty but the hassle of installing and removing was totally not worth it.

    • eBay blackout headlights were awful
    • eBay tinted lights with projector and led "U" bar were okay but light output wasn't great.
    • Used retrofits were pretty good but used older technology
    • New retrofits were fun! My daughter's loved pink halos with teal eyes. But the spaghetti wiring and Bluetooth controller were more of a hassle than they were worth. Using good Morimoto parts I had excellent output though.
    • Finally the Morimoto XB's. They're gorgeous and perform well. The high beam is better than the low beam.

I hunted for rock lights for a good while and chose the KC Cyclone V2's. I actually got a few V1's initially. They are fantastic and easy to install. I tied them into my dome lights so they turn on when I beep the truck. I also have an anytime on button in the cab.

    Definitely a useful mod!

Got a few more nights in the camper. I have a Amazon dual zone fridge but the lack of insulation is taking up too much juice. So I got the ICECO APL55. It is phenomenal. Quiet, intuitive and sips energy.

I also put my ARB Awning back up with ARB Quick Disconnect bracket. It's nice being able to remove it if I want to.

I have a bulky CSI 52L fridge that finally stopped working after about 4 years of constant use that I'm looking to replace and the ICECO VL45ProS is at the top of my list for a replacement. Haven't seen one in person but I'm happy to see you're liking the APL55.

4 years of hard use is great! The APL55 is a beast! I had a nice Amazon one before but it had zero insulation.

I've left the APL55 on since I've owned it and it truly sips energy. I was skeptical of the clam shell door but I thought up a great solution to the problem it gave me.

In my camper shell I can't open it all the way, the door hits the roof! So I put 1 inch fuzzy Velcro on each side of the door. Then a 3x3 piece of Velcro on the roof. Now I just open the door and it sticks fully open. A lil tug and the soft-closing door does the rest.
