Yeah, I think that's his logic. He is concerned about being employable and making a living. In today's world, especially with many of the young, you can't knock that.

It is indeed. She just told me the doctor has started the discharge paperwork for today, so looks like she will most likely be coming home today. Unless they find a lab result that is less than expected...

Again, thank you all so much for your support :)

wow sorry to be late for the morning greetings. had some "things" to take care of with the "bear". now that that is resolved life can go back to normal. :)

its an absolutely beautiful morning here in SE Ohio. temp is cool, sun is nice, humidity is down(for now), slight breeze here on top of the hill. grass is wet with dew. Windows are all open, attic fan is running! getting some fresh clean air into the house & getting the dog air out. yes im serious.

while our home is always super clean (ive got a small bit of OCD) we do own 4 dogs, so it smells like dogs live here. As much as i love my Bullydogs they do fart a lot & regular air changes are needed daily. no matter what the temp is outside, i open windows & run that attic fan every morning unless its pouring the rain. Then if its cool enough? i do it again in the evening. this is much to my wifes displeasure as she would rather have it sealed up tight & run the a/c 24/7 at meat locker temps. (yes she then runs it at sauna temps in the winter & i open the windows then too.)

the house smells of fresh country air right now. perfect! from the forecast for our rural community, should be able to keep the windows open till about 11:30am.

might grab a pic from my fenceline out across the neighboring farms to give you guys an idea of how it looks here vs what everybody thinks Ohio looks like. only problem is that many of you here are absolute camera gods & im just a goof with a cell phone. You all take such wonderful pix & im lucky if my attempts even focus on my pixel phone. but hey it will give you something to laugh at later.

live the day like it might be your last. because it might be.

I finally got rid of the last kitten from the May litter. I've never had so much trouble pawning off cute kittens. They are usually gone in 24-48 hours. This time took over two weeks. I had so many people say they were on their way and then never showed up and didn't respond to further messages. :annoyed:

I was beginning to think I would get stuck with a couple of them as they kept growing so rapidly the whole time. I think they must have doubled in size from when I gave the first one away to the last.

KR, just for you im gonna put a couple pix from my place in. dont laugh. well go ahead, i cant hear it.

    ok so here we go:

pic #1 is an overhead shot of our place with the trails i cut into it. 1 mile on the full circle. the top shot doesnt show how hilly this is. what you see mowed is fairly flat, everything else drops off at 15-30* slopes in those trees. im actually about 200' vertically above the roadway you see in the other picture.
    trail map 2019.png

Pic #2 is a shot from the only hole in the curtain of woods around our place. unless its dead winter & no leaves we are surrounded by the tree curtain except this spot & the driveway entrance. it just so happens thats the spot our internet comes thru & we love to watch out thru there. we dont have any majestic mountains, just lots of rolling hills & cows.

pic#3 is "my space" its my workshop/barn/hideout. you can zoom in if ya wanna read my signs.

Most healing occurs at home. They never leave you alone for longer than a brief nap while in hospital. Hopeful for speedy recovery. After blood, sounds like she needs you to make her a nice Ribeye for dinner!

Last fall i had to spend an overnight in the hospital - the first tinme sin ce i was child getting my tonsils out. I had to disconnect everything so I could walk to the bathroom so to avoid pissing myself. I had rang the buzzer for nearly an hour and even yelled at nurses as they walked by my closed door room. When done, I came back to all the machines beeping away, like you see on tv show when somebody expires. I purposefully didn't reconnect them and sat in a chair to see how long it would take for the straff to notice. After about 20 minutes a nurse walked in, not to see why everything going berserk, but to tell me it's time for discharge. When I explained why I had disconnected everything, she just sad, "that's alright," and walked out. It will be a cold day in hell that i go back to that hospital, if I have any say about it.
