Try GTechniq C2V3 it can be applied to almost every exterior surface with the exception of tires and gives about 6 to 8 months of protection and easy to apply. It can also be used to boost C4. I also like CarPro HydrO2 it’s so easy and quick to apply, that I use it almost every wash.

Did you think about spraying it with clear coat as well?

I didn't. I know I only have 1800 miles on the truck but I'm very happy with the Cermic. I've actually switched to using the Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax every few washes. It provides a slick coating that really beads and protects.

I’ve had my OEM grille installed since September 2016. Never had any issues in fading or washing bugs off. No waxing ever done to the grille

I mean def can’t hurt to do it and probably better to do it than not :thumbsup:

maybe I’m just a little lazy and only stick to taking care of painted metal. Also having two trucks to take care of doubles my effort.

You could do both. Clear coat spray paint which would last longer than any other application and then put whatever you want on top of that to get the beading effect.

It's holding up good but I've been using Mequiars hybrid ceramic about every other wash. My truck is also garage kept but does sit outside about 10 hours a day 3 or 4 days a week. Truck has 6500 miles at this point but still looks new.

How old is your truck and grill. Your user info says your truck is a 2012. ;)

Wow, I must say it does look good. I've been hesitant to go the TRD pro grille route just because everyone does it and I actually l like the look of the stock TRD OR grille, but it does look soo good on the MGM. Maybe, just maybe...

Guess I should update that! I have an 18 TRD OR with a runnin4tacos grille. My truck just broke 57k this week. I used some Meguiars ceramic wax yesterday on it. It looks brand new lol. Taking care if your truck goes a long way. Going to try some C4 on the grille after work today. Here is a pic from when I cleaned it and coated it. Also got the supplemental wash/spray/dry version for normal washes to build up the sio2 content!

That's looks amazing. I've used the hybrid ceramic but not the liquid ceramic. Does it work on the black fender flares?

Great looking truck BTW. How much lift is that? Truck looks very similar to my '23 TRD OR. ;)

Thanks! I used the the C4 on the flares still holding up greats. Just did the grille on my truck and it looks brand new again. I have the TRD Lift shocks set at 1.1 in the front and stock rear.

Y'all already have the idea, ceramic is the way. I like Cerakote Trim Coat personally for any black plastic. Good stuff, trusted brand beyond automotive applications. Any ceramic should do though.
