Hey everyone I am doing a bit if a product test. I purchased Meguiars Ceramic Wax and Meguiars Ceramic Spray Wax. After trying Nexgen Sio2 I fell in love with the hydrophobic properties. I will do another test/review on this product in the future.

Test vehicle is my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off-Road with 57k miles.

I started by using a pressure washer to knock off dirt and grime. Used a foam cannon with Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam. I let it sit on the truck for a couple of minutes and washed it off before going over the truck again with a wash mit and bucket of the snow foam.

I clayed the car using an Amazon clay mit and it worked surprisingly well. One the vehicle was ready to be coated I used a quick detailer on each panel and began to follow the instructions on the bottle.

From what I have read you can do a supplement for additional protection using the spray version. You wash the truck, saturate the panel and rinse it off and try. (I will update when I do a regular wash)

I coated the roof rails with CMX trim coating from Mothers. Currently testing this out to see how long it will last. Finally I used Gtechniq C4 trim restorer on the grille/fog lamp moldings. Flares were coated over a year ago and still going strong. I highly recommend Gtechniq C4 for plastic trim on our trucks. Seems to be the only thing that last. I have tried Chemical Guys VRP, Silk Shine and various other products they just dont last.

    I will post periodic updates.

    **Update**

Had some pretty nasty rain storms come through over the last few weeks. I snapped these photos the morning after downpours. This pic was taken about 3 days ago. Here you can see it is beading water REALLY WELL! I put a supplemental spray of the ceramic spray version today. I am pretty impressed so far!

The Gtechniq C4 is still going strong on the grille. Holding up well 20 days later. Blasted with bugs and grime. Cleaned up very nicely!

Great info! Thanks for sharing! Have you ever tried the Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray from Turtle Wax? It got great reviews from Project Farm. I've used it several times and have been pleased with it.

I have not, I am familiar with Turtle Wax they make good stuff. I have some Adams Graphene Ceramic Spray I plan on using on a friends Silverado can’t wait to use that stuff again.

Washed our Rav4 applied the Meguairs Ceramic Wax. On a white vehicle it really makes the color pop and gives it more depth to the bodylines. On initial application I noticed if you run the back of your finger across the surface it does not feel like any product is on the paint. After about 3 hours the vehicle feels smooth, slick and soft. I am going to keep the Rav4 as the Ceramic Wax only with no supplemental sprays with the spray ceramic wax on in between washed to see how long each last.

Quick Update: Rain a couple of weeks ago. Tacoma has another supplemental wash/spray. Rain is beading and product is really doing a nice job. The Rav4 with no supplemental spray is still doing well also.
