On idle no issues. Until I start driving and get it over 30mph it starts to make a noise / sound like it’s high rpm’s but the gauge shows normal. When I go faster the sound intesifies but the shifting is good from first to 4th. When I turn left or right the sound goes away but comes back. I was thinking it may be shift solenoids but it’s shifts fine and there are no codes when you plug in diagnostic. The sound feels like it’s coming from under drivers foot pedals. The sound takes over the jams that are playing and need to fix this. Need my jams

Sounds like a front wheel bearing.

So apparently Tacoma’s are victim to front driver side axle needle bearing issues. Got a project in couple weeks to take out the needle bearing and replace with an ECGS clamshell bushing. After watching some YouTube and TikTok’s and noticing the axle was a bit off… it should be the issue. I guess the needle bearings fail after any kind of lift put on taco. I have a level kit on and do a lot of off roading. I’ll let ya know how it goes. Thanks for the wheel bearing issues. Placed a go pro under the truck and heard the sound.

Does the noise change or get quieter if you engage 4wd?

didn’t want to take a chance on it. So I parked it as soon as i notice some play in front. I engaged the 4 wheel but didn’t want to drive too fast on the road. But sound did go away. But as soon as 2 wheel was back on it was whistling and buzzing

You can safely drive on pavement in 4wd, just don't make any sharp turns. The noise going away in 4wd does mean it's likely a bad needle bearing..

but what do you mean by play? Does the wheel flop around like a bad wheel bearing? Because a smoked wheel bearing could make a lot of noise too

So yesterday replaced the needle bearing with ecgs bearing. The winding humming noise went away but now have another noise, possible the big fan up front. Clutch. Replacing the needle bearings was huge difference.
