I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
So the wireless charger seems rather useless in the Tacoma (it actually drains my battery). I thought it was just my phone case, but after browsing around her, it seems to get bad reviews all around.

15 years ago, there would have been an ashtray in that spot, which is the perfect place to toss the spare change at the end of the day, but I'm not really keen to leave money sitting out in the open.

This has me wondering if anybody has found a creative use for the space, besides a really expensive pen holder?

Are there any 3rd party add-ons designed to fit in there?

I replaced my charger with an aftermarket charger and have no complaints. No battery issues and frees up a switch spot too.

Oh, interesting. I thought I read that nobody makes an after market one. I don't know of wireless charging is that important to me, but it's good to know that there's options.

If its draining battery then somethings wrong. Either your phone, case, or the actual charger. Mine charges fine. Slower than plugged in but fine.

I think the case is just thick enough that it's at the very edge of the range. It's fine when I'm idling, but as soon as I start moving, it cuts in and out, which turns the screen on and off, and slowly drains the battery.

I haven't tried it without the case, because it's a pain to take on and off. I've read in other threads that it overheats some phones, though.

Case or no case, the camera hump on the iphone 14 pro prevents me from ever even beginning charging on it.

I have a thin case. Plugged in is superior for charging/music and android auto. Only use Bluetooth and wireless charging for short trips
