    Goal:
    - Powering DRLs

    Relevant Pre-installed equipment:
    - Power tray
    - Blue Sea 5045 4 Circuit Fuse Block
    - Switch pro system 9100

    Current setup:
I have the DRLs tapped into a blue sea fuse block which is connected directly via the battery. The only way I can have the DRLs powered is when my light switch is in the fog position or low beam.
(I was under the impression the BS fuse block should have persistent power since its running directly to the battery. Given my results, I take it this is incorrect?)

    A few considerations I've had.
    1. The DRL instructions indicate I should use a fuse tap to plug into the ignition fuse under in the cab. Since I already have my switch pro system tapped into this fuse, I'm worried about daisy-chaining another tap fuse. Is this concern warranted?

    2. Another option would be to wire the DRLs to the switch pro system in the engine bay and program it to be powered by the ignition? Is this a possibility

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

I played around with the switch pro app here's what I've come up with thus far.

I'm able to toggle switches to run off battery and ignition. This would work great if I'm able to have the that particular switch toggled on all the time. Is this a possibility?

**Before I posted I wanted to scour the instructions. I appears this is possible with the memory function
"Memory function*, default is OFF. The memory function remembers the last switch status before the Ignition was turned off. If a switch was on when ignition was shut off, that switch will turn the back on when the ignition is turned back on"

I guess my concern boils down to why is my current setup through the blue seas circuit box not providing power to the DRLs?

I said screw the fuse block and ignition tap. Wired the positive and negative leads directly to my switch pro. Enabled the Memory function. Works well, perhaps a five second delay waiting for the switch pro to kick in form the onset of ignition.

Hope this helps somebody in the future.

If your fuse block is powered directly to the battery it will cycle things on and off independently of anything else running.

I have the same blue seas fuse block running to the rear of my truck for electrical purposes for when the truck is off.

Right, that's what I thought, but I was surprised the DRLs didn't run off the battery. I guess I never considered ignition v battery, figured the lights would only be activated when the ignition was engaged. I'm not sure why, definitely stupid on my part.

    Thanks for the information.
