Just curious if anyone has used them? Small shop based out of Sacramento. Considering having them do a shock relocation. Mostly positive reviews online - they quoted me about half the price of Stellar Built.

They are a reputable shop for sure. They worked on my buddies truck and it came out super great.

I posted in a couple of local FB groups recently about a bad experience with Stellar Built asking for some local recs and Califab was high up on the list, coming up every time. I haven't used them personally but lots of folks who actually wheel (vs post on Instagram) recommended them and that's good enough for me.

@Pdugan6 's truck is the baddest 2nd Gen in my city and CaliFab had a small part in the build. They are a very reputable shop. Either Stellar is bending you over with their quote or it's a helluva deal at CaliFab. I would already be asking for CaliFab to pencil me in....

I think Stellar Built has gone down hill in the last year or two. They're sailing off the back of a huge reputation but they're charging a premium and taking advantage of the Overland crowd nowadays. Good for them and their business but other folks should seriously shop around.

I would still go to them if you have a "vision" and want to work with them on a build (as in you go to them and say "I want an overland rig with some big tires and a winch" and let them pick the parts and do the build) but if you know what you want and you plan to piece meal it, you'll get better service elsewhere nowadays.

I’ve only had my CMC done by Stellar Built, got asked a few times where I got it done. People who know what they’re looking at say it’s a hack job and I somewhat agree. I chalked it up as I eventually want a CMR. Cali fab is at $680 versus $1200 for an AG shock relo.

Califab did my long travel install, CMC, deaver SUA and a bunch of misc gussets. I was very happy with their customer service and Ive never had a single issue with my truck.

Edit: The owner of Califab is a Vet if that matters to you.

Stellar Built is a joke. They installed the wrong part on my truck and "forgot to tell me". It was a mess to have them refund me and a pain in the ass to have another shop fix their crap. I keep seeing people recommending them to others and I cringe every single time.
