Looking to purchase new tires for my 2020 TRD off road. Will be driving long distances with a 4000 pd camper tow trailer. Probably not much off road but some. I need a good tire.

Probably Michelin defenders are best for your use.

I'm looking to replace the tires on my 2021 SR5. Seriously looking at the Wildpeaks I put some on my wife's Forester and really
    like the look and response.

Neighbor has the Michelin Defenders 265/70/16's and they do look very well made and get great reviews.
I don't think you can go wrong with those.

I don't do very much off-pavement driving myself, but when/if I do I want a tire that can take it so I'm leaning towards the Wildpeaks.

Yeah, any of those suggestions could be good, but a Super Swamper is kind of the Swiss Army knife of tires.

We started running yokohama g015's on our work trucks they are primarily highway trucks with some gravel and dirt/mud construction sites. Definitely an option worth looking into

I went with the Michelin LTX AT2. Great tire on pavement and light off-road like dirt and gravel.

I don't know what brand they are but there's been a few brodozer trucks around lately that have tires that scream 'bro, bro, bro, bro, bro, bro! all the way down the road. How cool is that!!

Bfg trail terrain tires is what I went with . They are quiet and good light trail tire . I spend most of my time on the highway and these are great for the highway . Before these I had the Toyo at3 they were god awful so loud on the highway and wouldn’t balance . The bfg trail terrain won’t break the bank and they look great .

FWIW I think Michelin Defenders suck. They break traction too much. They’re made for people who value longevity over traction.

I have Michelins on our Explorer. 15,000 miles so far and I'm happy with them for a primarily highway tire with mild off-road driving. I have more aggressive tires on my 4X4 Tacoma and 4X4 F150. I have Toyo's on my Ford. They are a decent compromise with a little more aggressive tire. I use the Ford to pull our travel trailer on long trips.

I don't run them now but I didn't have that problem when I did. Were they inflated to the correct pressure? A lot of people screw that up.
Odd that you had that experience. None of my sets of ATIIIs have been loud on the highway and all of them balanced smooth as glass, pretty much the smoothest tires I have ever dealt with besides Michelins. I still run the Toyos but they are not a good MPG choice.

Yeah… I know how tire pressure works. Michelin Defenders have typical “long life tire” traction, aka not great.

I had Michelins on my 2001 Tundra. Great, quiet tire that were good in the rain. I had them forced balanced and were smooth as glass. I never had them off road as they were a highway tire,
