Roof paint clear coat faded, how bad is the damage?

    Looks like my truck. Sorry to hear you’re dealing with this as well. Repainting is costly but seems to be the only decent fix. Just have to find a place/person who does quality work & will give you a good price. Unfortunately, that isn’t easy to find these days.

    Sand and prep it, get some paint in a spray can and spray it. Also buy some Spraymax 2k Clear and spray it on. It’s easier than you think. There are some YouTube videos showing how to do this.

    OME and worth every penny.
    Every single car and truck here after 10 yrs. of being outside all the time is getting like this so I doubt ANY paint is better than another. A wrap when new would be the answer. Prob. a new wrap every 5 yrs too.

    2015 Magnetic Grey Tacoma
    Exactly what is happening to my 2015 Tacoma Magnetic Grey color. What is bothering me is that it is only happening to the roof, no other parts. As if they didn't paint the roof the same way as the rest of the truck. If this is true, a class action lawsuit is in order and these trucks should be recalled for a new paint job.
