What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Its personal preference; these Kicker 6x9 is enough bass over stock for my enjoyment, some may prefer more. I'm using factory radio & didn't want to upgrade all components w the addition of amplifier or more wiring.
This & the DS18 tweeters together sound satisfactory to me.

Try ECT. I wasn't sure what that button did with my V6 first gen for years. It became apparent in my 3rd gen 4cyl.

I thought about getting a pedal commander as well. I just opted to save the loot and use my ECT button .... Especially on the highway

 

I flashed from normal to Lite…because I can.

Nice job. Had the Kicker/Subaru tweeters, but didn't notice much difference over OE. The DS18s make a BIG difference!

Great video... one tip is to put something around the speaker opening on the passenger side to prevent anything from falling down inside the dash.

When I add the DB Tonneau cover, I'd definitely buy reinforcements (Total Chaos stiffeners) for the bed.

 

Took 'er out to the desert chasing bunnies and scouting for quail. No luck on the bunnies, but I did find a good quail spot.

 

Still wiring it, but here is my version of the @Diode Dynamics reverse light kit. @paranoid56 cut it for me. The center light is a VLED LPR license plate reverse light kit, and the side lights are SSC1R pros. So they are auxiliary rear lights (switched), brake lights, and parking lights. There are also some VLED MaxPod lights up there, aimed down. Those will trigger with the puddle lights as well as the bed lights. It’s nothing big, but it feels good to actually start doing something with the stuff I’ve been accumulating.

 

Just took all afternoon installing the URD Short shifter on my ‘20 TRD OR. Shifting into all gears feels great except for reverse—pretty brutal.

 

What’s up with reverse? Is it a crappy action or is it not right?

 

I have to apply A LOT of strength to push it into reverse.

 

Is it adjustable or just nasty so no one accidentally throws it in reverse?

 

They look the coolest.streamlined.. wish they allowed for retention of the stock swivel D ring tiedowns.

I also wish they were a lil cheaper

 

I figure to do loose the OEM D rings, but you gain two more tie downs per side.

 

curious, you hunt them with a shotgun?

Arent they like 2 oz of meat. I imagine one pellet ruins the whole bird if its with that shotgun
